Beautiful silver-colored jewelry set with necklace, bracelet and ring, probably with pyrite. The style is retro-futuristic. The jewelery set was purchased at auction but as it has no stamps I do not know its origin.
Necklace : The pendant with probably pyrite is set in silver-colored metal. The pendant is approx. 6.5 cm long and approx. 4 cm wide. You can choose to wear the pendant with a silver chain or with a black waxed textile cord (looks like leather). Both are included and the chain is approx. 45 cm with a 5 cm extension. The textile cord is approx. 45 cm with a 5 cm extension.
Bracelet : The bracelet is made of silver colored metal. The medallion with probable pyrite is about 2 cm * 2.7 cm. The bracelet is rigid and openable. The bracelet is oval shaped, approx. 5 cm * 6 cm in diameter. It is 18 cm in circumference when closed.
Ring : The ring is made of silver colored metal. The medallion with probable pyrite is approx. 1.7 * 2.5 cm. The ring is adjustable, now about size 17 (17 mm in diameter). But it can be adjusted to more than 20 mm in diameter.
Pyrite is iron sulphide (chemical designation FeS 2 ). It is also called sulfur pyrite or just pyrite. It has been popularly called cat gold because it shines like gold. The word pyrite comes from the Greek pyr meaning fire. Pyrite is shiny metallic like fire and gold.
Pyrite is said to be a stone of protection. It is a stone that wants to protect its wearer in every possible way. It can be protection from emotional or psychic attacks, remove negative thoughts or stop toxic thought patterns. Pyrite is always keen to keep you clean. When we can free ourselves and let go of our negative thought patterns and facades, we can live more authentically.
