Beautiful pearl necklace made of hematite pearls. The pearl necklace has a lovely heavy feel and the pearls have a very nice luster. The necklace is 50 cm long and has a screw lock. The beads are about 5 mm in diameter. There are knots between each bead.

The necklace was bought at auction but basically looks unused. When purchased, it was stated to be from Sivert Källden, Höga Kusten, Konsthantverk, 1990s, but there is no visible evidence of this. (no stamps, signatures or packaging).

Hematite: comes from the Greek word haima, meaning blood. Hematite (also bloodstone , bloodstone ore or iron luster ) is a reddish iron oxide with the formula α-Fe 2 O 3 . Hematite is common in tropical soils; often causes the more or less red color of such soils. Forms very slowly after transformation of ferrihydrite . Hematite is also a common iron ore and occurs widely in the ore fields of Bergslagen.

This stone is known to connect the body to the earth. It is said to improve your focus, help you sort out thoughts, relieve stress and anxiety. Ancient Greeks associated hematite with Mars, the god of war. Hematite also occurs on the planet Mars - the red planet.

Sivert Källdén: Höga Kusten Konsthantverk was started in 1975 in Noraström by Sivert and Inger Källdén. Since 2007, the shop has been in Ullånger and invites you to a fascinating world of stones and minerals. Here you will find everything from raw minerals and crystals to fantastic jewelery and interior details.

- Everyone has their own relationship with stones and they mean different things to different people. Some choose stone based on its appearance, while others want a stone that has a special characteristic, Inger begins to tell us.
- In my shop there is a large selection of minerals and crystals such as rock crystal, amethyst, malachite but also fossils of various kinds, says Inger.
- The geology of the High Coast is very exciting and consists of about 13 different rock types, all of which can be seen in an exhibition. The oldest is Gråvacka, which was formed 1.9 billion years ago, and the youngest is Diabas, which is about 1.2 billion years old. In the middle between them is Ångermanland's landscape stone Nordingrågranit with its 1.5 billion years. This stone can be found, among other things, in the World Heritage jewelry designed by Sivert.
- It will be a journey many millions of years back in time while you can see and feel these unique stones when you visit Höga Kusten Artifacts in Ullånger. Our intention has always been to highlight the geology and rocks of the High Coast, concludes Inger.
