Like a seashell on the beach, this small beautiful pendant is in silver-plated pewter. The jewelery is designed by Börje and Karin Tennung. It is part of a series of jewelry inspired by seashells found on the Swedish west coast in the areas around Torekov and Hallands Väderö.

It is stamped BKT which stands for Börje/Karin Tennung. It is also stamped B which stands for Borås where they had their business. The jewelry also has a somewhat unclear year stamp, but the stamp indicates that the jewelry is from the 80s-90s.

Chain in silver-colored metal included. The chain is approx. 45 cm with a 5 cm extension.
The pendant is approx. 1.5 cm * 2 cm.

There are also matching earrings from BKT in the Vintage collection (sold out).

Börje and Karin Tennung : Börje was apprenticed to her father Erik Fransson. Erik Fransson Konst- Tenn was a nursery for several famous pewtersmiths. At a young age, Börje took over from Erik Fransson after his untimely death. The tinsmith lived on through Tennung Design in Borås, which was run by Börje and his wife Karin. The BKT stamp stands for Börje & Karin Tennung. Tennung also worked with gilded and silvered pewter. Some of Tennung's jewelery is based on various objects found on the Swedish west coast in the areas around Torekov and Halland's Väderö, for example seashells, fish and bird bones, mussel shells and more.

Like several other Swedish pewtersmiths, Tennung also had a significant export to the USA during the pewter period between the mid-1960s and the end of the 1980s
