Very beautiful brooch in silver with a large faceted rock crystal. Design Kultaseppä Salovaara, Finland. The jewelry is probably from the 70s. The brooch is circular and approx. 3.5 cm in diameter. The rock crystal is about 2 cm in diameter.
The brooch has several stamps. The polar bear stands for the manufacturer Kultaseppä Salovaara. The brooch is also stamped Finland and 830 for silver content 83%. The Swedish control stamps cat's foot and S for Sweden can also be found on the jewelry.
Kultaseppä Salovaara was a Finnish jewelry company that existed between 1955-1988 and produced fantastic jewelry. Often in silver with embedded rock crystal. But also fantastic jewelry made of other metals, with or without other stones.
The jewelery has a very clean and stylish shape and therefore becomes timeless and is still as sought after today as it was around 40-50 years ago. Incidentally, Kultaseppä means goldsmith in Finnish.
